FB–I feel you, knowing someone’s heart is a beautiful thing. I’ve never felt so secure in a relationship in my life, never knew this feeling before any other relationship before, wouldn’t trade that in for the world. Its like last week when we got into that drunken arguement and showed our asses, we woke up the next morning looked at each other and laughed our asses off & decided being drunk in the club is just not for us. It feels good to have someone say baby its going to be ok, to be my rock instead of being jello. Awwe hell, now you’ve given me the warm fuzzies.

Exactly, where you find calm in that person. I told him that this morning, when my mind is racing at night, and I can’t sleep, I cuddle up next to him and this since of calm flows through me.
He wakes me up with kisses or rubbing my back. Or just curls up next to me and whispers its time to get up, that stuff is so sweet to me. Or maybe I’m just simple. But its those small gestures of love that get me. He’s a “more then words” kind a guy. He shows me he loves me.

You know what ladies…it’s true…I was “having fun” single but trying lil relationships here and there nothing major…Actually my last serious attempt at a relationship was long distance …started in Nov and fell flat Jan 1st – he kept trying to get it back but I WASN”T seeing or hearing from him…so it was a major issue…then he was a NO SHOW for my bday and well that was the last straw…So my last relationship (I finally realized and admitted to myself) was a 2 yr stint with a man that was in another relationship (don’t ask I’ve learned not to judge sometimes it really does happen when you’re lonely and want to believe that they’re really and truly going to break up – needless to say lesson learned THEY RARELY DO)…anyway with that being said my only real relationship since my ex hubby was probably 5 yrs ago for a year…and that’s HORRIBLE…but I got over it all and adjusted to life without someone to rely on…everyone gets down about it at times, then you get revved up…tried to rely on my guy friends as substitutes for dinner dates,e tc. and I’m lucky to have some good ones so they were cool – and I did a ton with girlfriends and my daughter…
but since I met this new guy I realized what I was missing…I mean I honestly used to walk through the men’s dep’t dying to have someone to buy something for…(needless to say my lil bro loved it! as I would end up shopping for him)…but since I’ve met my new beau – it’s only been a month I know I know…but honestly we DO a lot together, he shows an interest in me, my little girl, my goals/my dreams…he’s supportive…not perfect we’ve already bumped heads on a few lil things lol…but he’s there…I felt sooo good to go to my friend’s bday party last wk and he was right there…not meeting me there or rushing off somewhere or on his phone the entire time sneaking texts but PRESENT IN THE MOMENT…I am open to the possibilities and yes I truly missed a real true blue relationship so I know exactly how you ladies feel…but I think it’s worth the wait as even if he is not the one…we have a quality relationship, we talk about real things – and in my heart I feel like we’re both trying to give our all and understand each other…and that’s what we ALL deserve! & now I see that we should hold out for better and not settle for less…even if we’re lonely

exactly if we had the money to pay for an education (if our parents received the head start in life that others did) then we wouldn’t need scholarships either…not saying that blacks shouldn’t work hard to get ahead and be able to get an education even without these scholarships and programs but obviously there’s a void that these programs are trying to fill…people are just too selfish and narrow minded to admit the truth! The ones against it probably don’t even have good enough grades to get a scholarship because they’re too busy studying minor stuff like this mess! well Sandy got a cookie and I didn’t SHUT UP and MAN UP!

funny story…my five year old lost one of his bottom teeth….of course he put it under the pillow for the tooth fairy…..my older children are trying to convince him I am the tooth fairy…I’m like no….I can’t believe yall don’t believe in the tooth fairy…..so this was couple days ago…..this morning my 5 year old said to me…”mammy you need to call the tooth fairy.” then i remembered damn i didn’t exchange the tooth for a dollar…so i act all suprise like why hon? he says cause my tooth is still there you need to call the tooth fairy and tell her to put a dollar under my pillow….lol..im looking at him like damn….you are too young to be so literate…..i told him i would get on it….and call the tooth fairy asap…not to worry by tomorrow she should be here…all the while my daughter is looking at me like why are you lying to him…no ah mammy you are the tooth fairy……i was cracking up cause thats not the first time I did that forgot one of their tooth..im so bad with that stuff….that i would cleaning their rooms(i mean the big cleaning like wiping the floors) and I’m finding teeth that were suppose to be exchanged like months ago…poor kids…

My grandma has a pretty decent-sized room in her basement with just shelves of dry or canned food in it. And of course a huge deep freezer.
Meanwhile, my refrigerator currently has a half gallon of milk, a small thing of Egg Beaters, a cardboard box with one Go-Gurt in it, some cranberry juice (always), a bottle of wine, some sliced turkey,and some spinach leaves that I bought 2 weeks ago. And condiments.
If a catastrophic weather event occured this week, I’d be f*cked.

its hard for me to buy canned goods….cause I know they of the debil…..lol…jk….its the nutritionist in me….the only thing canned i buy is sardines….black beans and coconut milk….lucky for me all the above come in dry form except for the sardines……
i really wish i had chose another profession causing the knowing of the dangers in food sometimes cause me to spend money on expensive organic shit that i can’t afford……its so sickening if I buy something I’m suspicious of i take it home and it sit in the cupboards or fridge for months until i finally decide to throw it out…i guess the longer i keep it the less guilty i feel about throwing it out…..
but there is hope……cause instead of making homemade pizzas…i started buying frozen ones…..and we do eat frozen vegeburgers and vegecrumbles….but what if i can’t pay my electric bill……aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh helll….i’ll just eat grass and leaves….

things are going well….
last week I put my resume out on Monster….friday I think it was
This Monday I get to work and at 8:30 I got a call from a recruiter for a job in GVegas. It seems like they’re interested and have asked for a phone interview for tomorrow at 9:30 am. (before I leave Indiana where I am now)
I also have some interest coming from Columbia….I did a desktop interview with them and I’m waiting to see if I get an actual interview.
I’d say things are pretty much wrapped up at Purdue. I’ll hear from them in about 2 weeks. (The second interview went better than the first)

to answer FB question…flaxsees benefits are great if you have high cholesterol…..thats total cholesterol…high LDL cholesterol and high tryglycerides……if you have a family history of colon, or breast cancer….and a bunch of other things that have not been proven yet…..but for high cholesterol its a plus…..

Pro, I did Jenny right after my son was born because I gained 60 and only 20 came off….40 pounds seemed like too much to handle by myself at the time… It’s really just about changing your metabolism by eating 5-6 times a day (really light snacks between meals) and portion control. Honesty I hated it. I didn’t like buying the food and I didn’t like the way it tasted. I lost weight but the whole idea is really the 5-6 small meals per day and lots of water, plus 30 min of cardio at least 5x/week. If you really need the structure I guess it’s not bad but….once I figured it out I quit paying the $$ and just did it myself.

I know how to “diet” (I know Kingston, bad word) when I’m committed I go gun ho, but I have no focus here lately so I wanted to put myself on a program. I got so much going on, combined w/ stress, that I can’t work for 10minutes straight with out my mind wandering, let alone committing to a life style change. But I have to do it, I am healthier when I’m fit.

keep talking, your bras would cost 50.00 instead of 10.00 you’ll have to fight to find pretty ones which cost more $$. You could not get away with wife beaters and no bra..or just going braless for a day..(well I do it, just depends on what I’m wearing) But I’m scared to not wear a bra because I don’t want them to look like Areathas flap jacks
