It’s been pretty quiet today. I’ve taken this opportunity to do what I get paid for from 8am – 5pm. Work. Since, I’m finished, I’ve made the rounds at a few blog sites. The pic above is the cast of the new B.I.G. movie. Derek Luke is playing Puff Daddy. Y’all I’m this close to saying f-ery out loud. I really am. Not to mention, y’all remember the little boy from the People P.C. commercials. He’s playing Lil Cease. What in the hoot-a-nanny is really going on ?

 VS

Okay so maybe the foreheads are similar sizes. Still, what is really going on. This leads me to a flashback song for today:

So please talk among yourselves while I try to collect my thoughts on this one.

This post may turn into a rant before it’s all over.

There are currently three candidates in this political race. Senator McCain, Senator Clinton, and Senator Obama. All three candidates have a chink in their armour. Something that the media could exploit and spend hours twisting and discussing and tainting the views of the people who take their words as the bonafide truth. Yet only one candidate has faced this scrutiny. Only one candidate is continuously battered and beaten. I feel like I’m in a Spades game right now. Holding that last big joker in the air ready to cut a book for the victory. I’m not playing Spades but the card that I’m holding and almost ready to slam on the table is the dreaded “race card”. I hate even feeling the need to let my mind drift to the thought that this battle against Senator Obama is purely based on his skin color. It’s part of the reason why I’m not ready to slam that card down on the table. I want so strongly to believe that my generation, my children’s generation, and their children’s generation will be able to make the strides necessary to get past this division that we have in our country now. Learn to appreciate, accept, respect, and love one another for our differences. Instead of constantly pointing fingers and spewing hateful words from our mouths.

Why is Senator Obama still forced to speak out against Reverend Wright? He denounced his rhetoric and way of thinking during a previous debate. It should have been the end of it, but every time, every day, every moment, he’s forced to be on the defensive about Wright. I don’t see McCain on the defensive about Hagee, Clinton on the defensive about all the dead affiliates from the Whitewater scandal. I thought as a country we believed in the separation of church and state. The religious beliefs and the church you attend have no bearing on the governmental process. Of course we know that the rule is just that simply a rule. After rules were made to be bent and broken. Many of our nation’s leaders have affiliations with influential religious leaders from every branch, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, and Catholics. The beliefs that we share in the pews on Sunday often dictate the laws that are made on the Hill on Monday. Think about the fight against abortion, rights for those with alternative lifestyles, etc. They’re driven by the church. So why does Obama’s church affiliation and Pastor matter more than any other candidate. Why are his words dissected and analyzed beyond the sound of each letter. Why is he the only one asked the “serious” questions and called upon to give us valid answers. Shouldn’t we hold all of our candidates accountable.

I’m tired of the bashing. I’m tired of the he can’t win, if he doesn’t cater to our needs. Thousands….no millions of supporters believe he is the candidate for change. Yet, we’re told that we possibly cannot be correct, we don’t know what we need or want. We’re not possibly capable of determining what is best for our country and our future. We need politicians to think and make decisions for us. When will this end? When will this be a campaign about the people and the issues that are important to our lives? When is this meaningless and hateful popularity contest going to end?

I couldn’t come up with a good where were you Wednesday. Maybe my mind was polluted by what I saw in the video attached to this post. Maybe that should be the question, where were you when good music died?

I love Amy Winehouse’s music. She was the first person I ever heard use the term F*CKERY!!!!!!!!! My girl Fresh at Crunk and Disorderly uses it regularly as well. The term just looped over and over in my head watching this video. Along with questions. Here’s a few.

  1. Plies directed the video, what the heck?
  2. Does Plies have a speech impediment or are his lips just real thick and his teeth too large with all that gold?
  3. What song is the chauffer listening to? He is bopping his head all off beat?
  4. Does Plies have on eye shadow?
  5. Does it stink under Rick Ross’ beard?
  6. Does Ne-Yo really think we don’t know he’s bald?
  7. Am I the only one catching Ne-Yo rolling his eyes throughout this f@ckery?
  8. Wet wet and bed sets…nasty sonamagun.

This Seven year old in Florida goes for a joyride in his grandmothers car, listen to his words of wisdom on what inspired this trip.

As a single mother one of my biggest fears is meeting a man that will want to come into my life for the sole purpose of taking advantage of my children. Now, flip that, and think about the biological father he uses his authority and love that his child feels for him in order to foster an intimate and incestuous relationship with his child. Yesterday, news broke of a father in Austria who held his daughter captive for 24 years in a windowless cellar. The daughter bore her father seven children. The father’s wife claims to not have known about the abuse or the captivity. Stating that she did not know the daughter’s whereabouts since 1984. I wonder where she thought the children were coming from? Check the story out below.

Austrian police probe ‘House Of Horrors’

Austrian police have sought answers on how a father managed to imprison a daughter in a windowless cellar for 24 years and have seven children by her without authorities and neighbours knowing.

Josef Fritzl, a 73-year-old electrical engineer, had confessed to holding his daughter captive in what Austrian media have branded The House Of Horrors, police said.

The daughter and three of the children lived in the 60 square metre cellar in Fritzl’s nondescript two-storey home that officials said was no more than 1.7 metres high and contained a padded cell.

A leading question was how what went on in the house, situated in a busy street with shops in the small industrial town of Amstetten, passed unnoticed for so long, particularly as Fritzl built extensions to the cellar.

Commentator Petra Stuiber wrote in Austria’s Der Standard newspaper that what she termed a rich self-satisfied society needed to examine why it was allowed to occur.

“How is it possible that nobody heard or saw anything? How can it be that nobody asked questions?” said Stuiber.

“This is an appalling crime. I know of no comparable case in Austria,” said Franz Prucher, head of security in Lower Austria.

Photographs of the house showed a narrow passageway leading into other rooms that included a cooking area, with children’s drawings on the walls, a sleeping area and a small bathroom with a shower.

Amstetten, situated in rolling hills about 130km west of Vienna, has a population of about 22,000 people.

The case first emerged on Sunday and shocked Austria less than two years after an Austrian teenager, Natascha Kampusch, escaped after being seized as a child and locked up in a basement for eight years.

Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, says her father lured her into the cellar in 1984 and drugged and handcuffed her before imprisoning her.

Three of her children, aged 19, 18 and 5, had been locked up in the cellar with her since birth and had never seen sunlight. The younger two were boys, the eldest a girl.

Three other children – two girls and one boy – were adopted and brought up by Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie.

Police said Fritzl had admitted to burning the body of a seventh child in a furnace used to heat the building when it died soon after birth.

Fritzl, whom police described as “dynamic, bossy and authoritarian”, had hidden the entrance to the cell behind shelves and only he knew the code for the concrete door.

The case unfolded when the 19-year-old girl became seriously ill and was taken to hospital with severe cramp caused by lack of oxygen. Doctors appealed for her mother to come forward to give details of her medical history.

Fritzl brought Elisabeth and her remaining two children out of the cellar, telling his wife their “missing” daughter had chosen to return home, police said.

Elisabeth agreed to make a thorough statement to the police after receiving assurances she would have no further contact with her father, who she said abused her from the age of 11.

Police believe Josef’s wife did not know what happened to her daughter when she disappeared in 1984.

Fritzl had said Elisabeth had joined a sect and that she had left the children on the doorstep. He forced Elisabeth to handwrite letters to support his claims, said the police.

I am Celtics fan!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to know what is really going on. Do Mr. Potato Head, the Human Lightbulb, and the rest of the Hawks team really want this thing more than K.G. and the crew from Beantown. Last night, the Atlanta Hawks squad, out ran, out played, and out scored the Boston Celtics. They wanted the win more. They could taste it and it showed. The Bengay crew from Beantown gave up. The Hawks are not a better team. I repeat, they are not a better team, but there is no room for error this playoff season. You cannot play half heartedly. So I beg of you Pierce, Allen, Garnett, Posey, Doc, and the rest of his crew. Pull it together. Don’t let this outstanding season of play end on a sour note.

Is this too far to go for fame and popularity?
