First of all, I love Youtube, it has allowed me to take a stroll down memory lane on numerous occasions…BUT…I think there needs to be more regulation with respect to the home videos they allow to be posted…I was advised by a local DJ here in Miami “Big Lip Bandit” (@ 99Jamz WEDR) to do a search on Youtube for “Bust It Baby”, Soujah Boys “Booty Meat and to prepare to be disgusted…I did, and I was…
First of all, I don’t get the Plies appeal. He is about 32, 5 foot zero, and he strongly resembles “Stripe” from Gremlins. I usually can’t understand anything he says, and when I can understand it, I end up wishing I couldn’t. Enough on that lame though. The larger issue is these Youtube videos featuring these teenage, and sometimes seemingly PRE-teen girls, (I HOPE there are virtually NO adult Souljah Boy Fans) grinding and gyrating in front of a camera for the world to see. Lack of adult supervision? Lack of morality being instilled in the home? Lack of self-esteem? A reaction to a hyper-sexed society which is simultaneously paranoid about all things sexual? Or am I just a prude? Take a look…Judge for yourself. I see softcore kiddie porn…

It’s funny how those kinds of videos stay online for a long time, but videos like NYOIL’s “Ya’ll Should All Get Lynched” which speaks out against that foolishness has more of a chance of getting banned.

Parents..do you know what your kids are doing? Same goes for these little girls on MYSPACE…a 10 year old shouldn’t be trying to look sexy..you have to be 14 to have a page and a lot of these children obviously are not of age (I’m guilty, son has one..but no privacy..I have passwords and he is only allowed to have friend his age and adults that I know) I’ve seen some of the little girls on his page and think to myself where in the hell are the parents?
I laugh when his friends request me, I’m the police, if I see anything foul I will tell your parents, seriously.
This is a sick sad display of culture as a whole…the internet is a blessing and a curse and parents need to know what their children are doing.
March 26, 2008 at 11:39 pm
This is the kind of “skills” kids are learning todday? Ans we wonder why there is no progress in our communities…How do we stop this madness for real because I’m also tired ot it…this is depressing, really.

Pro I;m so glad that you monitor your kids because I think this is what is missing in a lot of households. If your kids spend too much time on their own in their bedrooms you should find out what is going on.
This kids babysitters are the Tv, Internet, and Video Games. We need to do better than this.

I am the POLICE…you have to be an agressive parent in this day and age..YOU HAVE to be. Some people say the way I parent will backfire on me, I say I rather over do it then under do it, I owe it to my kids and there is no perfect formula to being a parent..
Most parents are not even computer savvy and knowing they are not still purchase technology for your kids. No camara’s on my son’s computer, that is on the family one..I will come in. in a heartbeat knock him off to see what he is doing. It is fact that he is aware that this computer will be taken for a minor violation…I have more tracking the FBI on his computer..I’m guerilla parenting..But you won’t see my child on you tube slanging his wang.

Too much work to do. They probably got the ideal from their mother’s myspace page.
March 27, 2008 at 12:58 am
I had to click one of them for violation, i dont know what kinda violation but i saw the button on their youtube page and I clicked it…LOL. they need to crack a book and stop showing me the crack of their ass.

As parents, we’re sort of pioneers when it comes to our kids and the internet. At 12, even 15 years old, the entire world wasn’t available to me like it is to my son now. But just because it’s there doesn’t mean he’s entitled in any way to access all of it. I’m with Pro as far as policing goes. I would MUCH rather be ultra-cautious than liberal. If my daughter were any of the girls in these videos, she would lose computer privileges for LIFE (or until she moved out).

I can assure you that there are plenty of young, white girls also on Youtube doing the same things or things just as bad. Still, when we see black people acting foolish, the whole race is embarrassed.
March 27, 2008 at 3:33 am
Here’s something we all need to remember, myself especially, just because we only see black people act this way, doesn’t mean we’re the at the bottom of the human equation. Granted. This is depressing, but it could be much worse…

It’s funny these same girls probably don’t understand or care to know the ins and outs of Algebra, Geometry, or a History book. I’ve caught a lot of grief lately, from other parents that I’m too hard or I have unreasonable expectations. No, I refuse to raise another thugged out, dumbed down child that we continue to discuss in different blog topics. No the world wasn’t available to us like it is now. I never cease to be amazed at children and the things they say, do, and know.
March 27, 2008 at 1:10 pm
soft porn exactly…we’re watching their imagination on youTube.
March 27, 2008 at 2:41 pm
The first set of girls look like they’re in a hotel room You know they’re there with some boys and who knows what’s about to happen. The second girl. Soft porn, all that’s missing is a battery operated item and that’s it. Parental intervention is needed immediately. This is horrible.
March 27, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Yeah this is ultimate low…that’s why we can’t be respected!
March 27, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Yeah, candy curls with a ribbon, sofee shorts, hotel room,…I could conclude that these young ladies are away from home at a cheerleading competition.
March 27, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Possibly, or some jive talker, has promised them some hair and nail money for shaking their buns in a local hotel room.
March 27, 2008 at 3:10 pm
Seeing how the scene picks up after the girl on the right steps in front of the camera, I would think that she’s in control of the shoot. She also continues after the girl on the right stops from the embarrasment/pointless shaking which makes me believe she was the ring leader.
March 27, 2008 at 3:13 pm
…after the girl on the left stops… I mean
March 27, 2008 at 3:53 pm
See…i swear…yall will be hearing about me on the 6 o’clock news if any one of my children ever decide to do some it like this….
Where the hell are their parents…damn I could never imagine being so loose when I was that age…just the thought of my mother finding out was enough for me to say hell naw..u better ask someone else….
March 27, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Exactly. Our mothers even corrected us on how we walked to make sure we didn’t appear loose. They had relationships with teachers and administrators who would tell if we went to school and acted one way as opposed to how they taught us. I don’t know what’s going on with these children.
March 27, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Amen to that…my mom would have thrown a pot at my head if I did anything near this EVEN NOW lol…its really sad..and souljah boy was cute at first…granted I know everyone got mad about the true meaning of “superman”…but honestly my daughter and niece were 8 and didn’t really get the words they just liked the darn dance so on that note we entertained it but that YAH trick Yah stupidness and then “take out my report card -throw some d’s on it” ummm NO…they know he’s a definite NONO for anything but that silly dance ..its just sad that a producer and record label actually promoted that crap instead of challenging him to use his talents for dancing, etc. to put forth a better message even if it was not so wholesome why does it always have to be sexual?????
March 27, 2008 at 4:38 pm
They play videos now on the Nick older kids channel, where they show Degrassi, One on One, and other shows. I was watching one evening with my son and saw that new Soulja boy video. I told him don’t you even think about it. That throw some D’s on it, pissed me off.
